Privacy notice

This notice describes which personal data buddiesCREW processes on this public website. We keep processing small and traceable. Only services that are actually used in the current website code are named.

The German privacy notice is the authoritative version in the event of discrepancies.

Hosting

This website consists of static files and is served from the operator’s own web server (for example Nginx, Apache or Caddy). When you open a page, technically necessary server logs may be created, such as time, requested address, browser type and IP address.

Purpose: delivery and security of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable operation). Recipient: the operator’s hosting or server provider. Whether a transfer to third countries takes place depends on the chosen hosting. Storage period: according to the host’s technical settings, typically short log retention.

This static edition does not require a Grok, xAI or Vercel runtime.

Two ways to sign up

You can join Early Access or receive updates. Email and first name are required in both cases. Consent is not pre-ticked. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Early Access

We process:

  • email address (required)
  • first name (required)
  • region or city (optional)
  • stated interests: Community, Inspiration, Personal Development, Shared activities (optional)
  • anything you’d like to add (optional)
  • consent and the time of the request

Purpose: to tell you when buddiesCREW starts and — if you wish — to involve you in what comes next. Signing up does not create a right of access.

Updates

We process:

  • email address (required)
  • first name (required)
  • region or city (optional)
  • anything you’d like to add (optional)
  • consent and the time of the request

Purpose: selected information around the launch.

Storing the sign-up

The details are not stored in a database of this website. After a successful submission they are sent via the configured form endpoint (FormSubmit by default) to the inbox info@buddiescrew.com.

Storage period: until you withdraw consent, ask us to delete the data, or the purpose no longer applies. Recipients: Michael Krieger as controller; technically the form endpoint and the email provider of the inbox.

Forwarding the request by email

The request is also sent via FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) to info@buddiescrew.com. This may include email address, first name, region or city, interests, optional remarks and the chosen path (Early Access or updates).

Purpose: delivering the request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Recipients: FormSubmit and then the inbox info@buddiescrew.com. A transfer to third countries (in particular the USA) is possible. A data-processing agreement with FormSubmit is not verifiable from the code. How long FormSubmit stores submissions is determined by FormSubmit.

Double opt-in

Double opt-in with an individual confirmation link is not connected in this static website. Whether FormSubmit sends an automatic acknowledgement depends on its configuration and is not verifiable here. A later switch to a newsletter service with double opt-in is possible.

What we do not ask

We do not ask for sensitive data without a clear product purpose. That includes in particular income, an exact address, health data, therapy experience, sexual orientation, detailed relationship status, political views and exact location data.

Fonts, images and video

Fonts (Poppins) are self-hosted and are not loaded from Google Fonts. Hero films and images are served from the same server. There are no YouTube, Vimeo or similar embeds.

Local storage

The browser may store the keys bc-theme (light/dark display) and bc-lang (language). Purpose: remembering your choice. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data stays on your device until you delete it.

No analytics, no marketing tracking

This site does not use marketing cookies, session recordings or analytics tools such as Google Analytics. There is no public AI chat.

Social networks

Links to Instagram and LinkedIn are ordinary links. Only when you click them do the privacy policies of those providers apply.

No Grok or Vercel runtime

This static website does not include a Grok live preview, files under /__grok/, or a Vercel or Node runtime. It is delivered as static files from the operator’s web server.

Spam protection in the forms

The forms use an invisible honeypot field, a simple calculation and a technical check for submissions made unusually quickly. These measures are intended to reduce automated and abusive sign-ups.

The purpose is to protect the forms and the systems behind them from misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The answer to the calculation and the technical validation information are used only to assess the relevant submission, not for advertising or profiling.

Withdrawal and your rights

You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, by email to info@buddiescrew.com.

You have the right – where the legal requirements are met – to access, rectify or erase your data, restrict its processing, receive your data in a portable format and object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
