Stance

What we stand for.

buddiesCREW stands for self-determination, responsibility and equality. Strengthening men does not mean making others smaller. Misogyny, dominance thinking, discrimination and rigid ideas of how a “real man” has to be have no place here.

This is the stance behind buddiesCREW — towards men, connection, personal development and an equal way of being together.

  1. 01

We are committed to equal opportunities for all and recognise that gender is something that can be shaped and is always shaped by social structures and power relations.

  2. 02

We are committed to ensuring that men and women are equal partners in society and support each other in order to promote authentic relationships at eye level and constructive gender dialogue.

  3. 03

We recognise that men have unique experiences and challenges, name them openly and understand that their origins lie in patriarchal structures – not in the emancipation process of the women’s movement.

  4. 04

We empower men to become the best version of themselves by promoting a joyful and powerful manhood that is allowed to develop beyond traditional masculinity requirements.

  5. 05

We are convinced of the power of community and mentoring, because men can better develop their personal and social emancipation and development through connection, joint reflection and mutual support.

  6. 06

We create a safe and inclusive space for men to promote open and honest discussions about issues that are important to men, including socio-political conditions that influence their development.

  7. 07

We are convinced that through education and self-reflection, men can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others, which is a prerequisite for true empathy and emotional intelligence.

  8. 08

We believe in the importance of self-care and healthy habits to help men lead fulfilling and healthy lives and fulfil their potential regardless of societal images of masculinity.

  9. 09

We are convinced that by breaking down traditional gender norms and stereotypes, men can achieve more freedom and happiness in all areas of life and recognise that gender roles are created in the interaction between the individual and society.

  10. 10

We believe in the power of diversity and that by accepting differences and recognising commonalities, we can create a more inclusive, respectful and peaceful world for all – especially through a new understanding of conscious male development.

Community code

Early Access rules

Devaluation based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, religion or other personal characteristics has no place in our community. Neither does misogyny, hate, harassment, or the glorification of violence and dominance.

Men are not a homogeneous deficit group. They live differently, want different things, and already bring a great deal. That is why we work from resources — not because problems do not matter, but because diagnosis is rarely the best first step.

Professionally we work from the frame of gender-reflective work with men and from current research on connection, friendship, health and personal development. That includes Markus Theunert, männer.ch and the Bundesforum Männer in Germany.
